Made in Brazil – pava, cogu, btt, ton, eduzin
Mibr hasn’t had lady luck on their side for a long time. Ever since they won the CPL World Tour Stop Brazil, they haven’t pulled out something big. Poor recent results include an unexpected placing at CPL Dallas, failure to qualify to ESWC 2005, roster shakeups, 6th at CPL UK and recently losing to their arch rivals g3x at WCG Brazil 2005. MiBR is not the world class team it used to be, but despite this, they are probably the strongest team attending the event and the number one favorite to win the 10 grand prize.
FA - c0cktel, KasteK, awez0mb, Frag, Schapiro
Furious Aim (They changed the Team name due to CPL restrictions) a.k.a. FA is one of the main CS squads on the competitive CS scene in Argentina. Winners of the last two local WCG qualifiers and placing second in the first one, they are one of the most complete teams from the Latin America region. However, this will be the first opportunity for the team to show its skills in an international event mainly attended by Latin American teams, and the chance to prove they can defeat teams such as MiBR or PuntoCL.
g3x.inteL - gAuLeS, Aliche, Crash, nak, marcof, brunO
The overwhelming g3x, current winners of the WCG Brazilian Qualifier will be present at this event. The well known "MiBR Nightmare" is coming here to prove one more time that they must be considered the new Brazilian Powerhouse, taking the crown obtained by MiBR, and winning the money prize. Of course excellent matches are assured with their presence.
Artyk - Raykov, noop, hadrok, Cerberus, bkner
Winners of almost any tournament held in the last few years in Peru (First Place at WCG 2004, First Place at Xtreme League 2005, Second Place at XGate 2005, Second Place at WCG 2005), the Artyk Connection team is based on their lineup consistency, with gamers that have played together since the formation of the team. This event will represent the chance for them to gain an international name and place a mark on Peru into the huge map on the CS Scene world.
Punto cL - PAnTxO, CalquiN, Apolo!!, Ro77eN, SirDeath
This is the team that has had more international attention in Chile, basically because of it’s four participations at CPL; their latest participation was in CPL WT Brazil and the Argentinean tournament where PuntoCL won, defeating one of the best clans of Argentina called FA. Besides, PuntoCL has a very stable line up, their type of play consists basically in adapting their strats to their opponents.
Army - demolition, kalash, vka, sancor, betoi
aRmy is the most known team in Argentina, not by it's actual performance, but for their history, since they were one of the best a couple of years ago, and the first Argentinean team that went to CPL Dallas, after winning the CPL Chile Qualifier 2003. They also went to CPL WT Brazil 4 months ago and finished 4th at LatinCup 2004, going instead of A-Inmortals. Now they are better than ever, and will try their best in this event.
Arena - TNT, headup, Gonzalo, Thor, taxista loco, Punkeke
This was the first team that represented Chile at the World Cyber Games, showing themselves as one of the best Chilean teams being always very close to winning tournaments. Just a few months ago, they came back after a short break, changing part of their line up. Right now Arena is practicing every day to be like they were one time.
TnS - AjTrO, K_oZ, ChecoS, zawak, SeBaS7iaN
Second place of the Bolivian Qualifier for the event, the TnS team has learned of the errors of the last Bolivian team that participated on an international event : Bo.YaD at LatinCup 2004. They now have strategy, they practice regularly and finally, a serious attitude toward the game. Placing second at the last UnionGamer Tournament, they must show to everybody that they are not on the bottom of the Latin American CS scene anymore.
Selected Five - d3r, niqui, Kalium, kortex, spit
Selected Five comes with all their potential, after winning WCG 2004 Colombian Qualifiers with the name "tGz" and the Qualifiers for this event. Coming from a Country with a rising CS scene but almost no international contact for competition, they must show that they have learned a lot since their last appearance in a huge event, at Latincup 2004 where they were eliminated in the first phase.
United 5 - CuZ, kmode, hanes, t0ol, hostile, killabeez
The legendary team United5 is once again in one stop of the CPL WT. Since their last appearance at CPL Brazil with a disappointing performance, they have been getting ready for an event of this magnitude. This will be the time to prove that they can carry the tag that produced so much surprise some time ago, even when Josh "derosa" Derosa won't attend the event due to his job. This last player will be replaced by the well known Shaun "Hostile" Catron.
Catch Gamer - bsl, juve9le, Juzam, zEVON, Naikon
The only European team on this CPL WT Stop. They come from losing to Team9 at WCG Norway, obtaining second place, and at CPL UK getting third place just behind NiP. The recent addition of Naikon, coming from NoA, was supposed to give the team more consistency, but only time will determine that. And for CG, this event is that time.
Amazing Gamers - yeaH, razoR, HK, Salva, Brean, Nirvi
Coming from the Lower Brackets and beating well known teams of the Venezuelan CS Scene, this team is on this CPL WT stop to prove to themselves and their community that they are now one of the elite teams on the region. All the players on this team have lot of experience, since they come from the old team "Zeus" with two reinforcements. We must expect the unexpected from them.
Revoltz – bebee, adr, chl, jorgepet, marc
Revoltz has been a team that has been overshadowed by mibr until they grabbed a spot to play at ESWC 2005. Revoltz took third place in the MiBR Cup II just below mibr and GC.br (GC’s B team). Not to mention they have recently placed third, just below mibr at WCG Brazil 2005. I always have said, Revoltz is a team that can surprise anyone if you underestimate them and these guys must be starving for a huge win. Can they finally be called a Latin American Powerhouse? Can they defeat mibr just as they did a few months ago?
Other Teams Attending:
New Future a.k.a CiberAtletas - xeslaN, kr0ne, mic, mokotoN, ThoKK
New Future is one of the top teams of the Peruvian scene. Current champions of the last XGate Tournament, second place at WCG 2004, they are always a dangerous team, even when this is their first international event. With a roster variation and the adding of destr0, one of the DiN Members that went to CPL Dallas at 2004, this squad will try to gain the position that they say they deserve: the new Latin American Powerhouse.
NeoMillenium - pirz, n4.-, saitoh-, P4nChOx, SouL
This team is one of the teams with a larger following in the Chilean scene, and also one of the most controversial teams in this year because they decided to focus on a training program and getting a discipline of professionalism in CS, starting from zero and getting a completely new line up. They’ve always been in top places of Chilean leagues, we can emphasize their last victory where PuntocL, Arena and 4Honor where competing.
Penquistas Contra la Guerrilla (PCG) - AbUrRiDo, MotoCruz, ToMbI, Outc4$T, Rusty
Their certainty and effort has conquered the hearts of some gamers . This team is formed by people from Concepcion, all friends that with effort and a stable line up have gotten into the club of the best. For this CPL they have practiced hard to make an outstanding presentation.
srry si esta en ingles, pero me parecio una informacion interesante, para conocer a los equipos que se encontraran con artyk y nf.
