Been there too brother, since text games, Coleco Intellivision Atari 2600, through Amstrad Zinclair ZX Amiga Tandy, Commodore etc till now...
I Also tried every Joystick/Gamepad Emulator i found Joytopad, XBCD, Xpadder, Pinnacle GP etc etc.

But i think The Best, THE BEST EMULATOR out there for "games for windows" (notice the sarcasm) who does not have gamepad support its the Pinnacle Gamer Profile... WHY? simple.

1. Robust support, Button tap, rapid fire, button hold (time customisable), button release etc
2. Axis precision customisable (dead zone, range, sensibility etc)
3. Latest Official Game Profiles from their page (after you install your game, you just need to update the Pinnacle profile library to detect your game and download the latest profiles )
4. Full support on older games, even for older games exclusively for KB
5. Maybe 20$ means a pizza while your playing, but cmon make a sandwich, the cost worth it

basicamente dice que soporta, todo tipo de configuracion con gamepads y hasta hay actualizacion automatica para juegos nuevos y antiguos (ergo: Perfiles oficiales desde su web)

buscalo x ahi y lo hallas es buenazo yo lo uso con COD4 y 5 y QOS y todo esta configurado como Xbox 360!
