The Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) announced the initial release of a software compliance solution for its online league, the Cyberathlete Amateur League (CAL). The CAL Anti-Cheat System (ACS) is a multi-game solution that will ensure fair competition in CAL tournaments and CPL online qualifiers. CAL is pleased to offer its registered members an opportunity to experience ACS through a special preview edition, available at www.caleague.com/acs/.
The preview edition will be used to gather valuable feedback from the gaming community and provide enhancements to the client. All members are encouraged to utilize the client during online play and provide feedback on their experience to [email protected]. ACS will be gradually deployed into all divisions of CAL, beginning with the next season of Counter-Strike 1.6 following the CPL 2006 Championship Finals. Use of the preview edition of ACS is free of charge. This new software is part of an ongoing initiative that will elevate CAL online competitions to a more professional level.
The initiative includes an exclusive partnership with GameRail (http://www.gamerail.com/), the first nationwide network designed exclusively for optimizing online gaming traffic; and PlayLinc (http://cpl.playlinc.com/), a CPL-branded online game browsing and messaging platform that offers gamers more control over their multiplayer gaming experience.
