Es una pena lo que pasó con Vigil Games, al no haber sido tocados en la subasta, el estudio tuvo que terminar con sus operaciones y los trabajadores tendrán que buscar otro lugar donde laborar. Me parece increíble que no los hayan tomado en cuenta, teniendo en cuenta que incluso Homefront fue vendido.

Por otra parte, no me quedaba claro si se habían vendido estudios o propiedades intelectuales. Por suerte, en Joystiq hicieron una lista que me aclaró esa duda.

Me alegro bastante que Relic terminara en Sega, pero Vigil al parecer ya fue. Una pena por Darksiders

Detallo un poco mas:

•SEGA ha adquirido a Relic, el estudio responsable de Company of Heroes y Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War.
•Koch Media (los dueños de Deep Silver, publishers de Dead Island) compraron a los creadores de Saints Row, Volition, y además ha comprado los derechos de publicación de la franquicia Metro.
•Crytek, quienes actualmente están desarrollando Homefront 2, adquirieron la franquicia completa.
•Take-Two (empreza matriz de 2K y Rockstar) adquirió el “Proyecto Evolve” de Rock Studios, un videojuego que aún no ha sido anunciado. (UPDATE: Take-Two también adquirió la franquicia de WWE)
•Ubisoft compró a THQ Montreal como también los derechos para publicar South Park: The Stick of Truth. (UPDATE: Patrice Désilets, la mente detrás de Assassin’s Creed II, el juego que para muchos es el mejor de la saga había dejado Ubisoft durante el desarrollo de AC: Brotherhood, tiempo después entró a formar parte de THQ Montreal. Ubisoft menciona que “aún es muy pronto” para saber si Désilets volverá a la compañía o no.)

Company of Heroes 2 saldra en Junio y la beta sera lanzada el 2 de abril .

Y bueno señores hoy terminan las subastas de las franquicias restantes de THQ , aunque aun no se sabe que empresas se quedaron con los juegos restantes , solo se sabe que Homeworld es ahora parte de SEGA.

Nordic Games isn't currently sharing the full details of its Lot 5 and 6 acquisitions.

"As we still have some open points with regards to a couple of titles we will not publish a comprehensive list at this stage," a Nordic Games representative tells Joystiq. "However, once everything is fixed and the ink is dry – around mid-May – we will go out with a comprehensive list of titles which we have acquired in the process."
