Pero para quien dice que el grunge no puede estar acá, sostengo lo que dijo Legión, son dos cosas distintas pero con un tronco común. Que yo sepa, Alice no decía que ellos hacían grunge, bueno lo que sea... Pero no digan "no pongas esto aca" "esto no es rock, eso parece electrónico", se los digo por dos motivos. Uno, ya no existen los géneros puros, por tanto, todo se alimenta de todo. Segundo... si cada género abre un thread pues esto se volverá el pandemonium.

La pelicula la dirigio Oliver cuando estaba Stone

Pues esa cancion sale en 2 peliculas de Stone : "Apocalipsis now" y obvio que tambien en "The Doors".

En cuanto a lo del Nu metal, gustos aparte, creo que es valido que pongan sus grupos en este post. Aunque en mi opinion personal este genero no me gusta para nada, sus melodias desagastadas y harto conocidas la verdad que ya aburren. La verdad que pocos grupos de este estilo son para rescatar, no se me viene a la mente ninguno pero alguno ha de haber :lol: . Recuerdo como a finales de los 90's y comienzo del 2000 aparecieron cientos de grupos Nu metal cuyo estilo era similar entre todos, y la verdad que acapararon todo el mercado. Felizmente que los tiempos han cambiado y ya no tienen tanta pegada como antes, las nuevas bandas se ve que estan mas influenciadas por el rock de los 60's y 80's .

Cambiando de tema, otra banda de los 80's que me parece muy buena y no he visto que la nombren es The Jesus and Mary Chain con canciones como "Darklands", "April Skies" y "Just like Honey" entre otras,
de letras de oscura belleza y un sonido rockero de fuertes guitarras. La verdad que un muy buen grupo recomendable.

De dónde sacas que Alice in Chains es Hard Rock? Mira tú... recien me entero... por ahí estarán Soundgarden o Pearl Jam como britpop. Bueno, fuera de la sorna, es evidente que hay gente que no conoce que es la polifonía o la intertextualidad, pero para que te enteres, eso es una pauta para conocer el abanico de géneros que hay ahora.

Primero, al menos ya te diste cuenta que Alice es rock, eso es bueno, que tendrá alguna similitud con bandas más de Hard Rock, pues puede ser, pero va directo al punto que sostengo. Y con respecto a eso, ahora que me vas a decir de bandas como The Sisters of Mercy o Clan of Xymox, catalogadas como Gothic Rock segun la misma fuente que usas? Es otra rama del rock, sólo que apuntan a otro lado. Regresamos a lo mismo, no cierres al género sólo a origenes.
Por último, yo no defiendo a Kraftwerk simplemente porque no los he oído.

el rock es un genero que tiene muchas vertientes y tratar de etiquetar algo como rock puro pues en estas epocas es un poco dificil...uno de los pocos grupos relativamente nuevo que pueden llamarse de puro rock n roll es The Strokes

A mi personalmente me encanta el rock mis grupos favoritos son:

1.-AC/DC
2.-Pink Floyd
3.-Dire Straits
4.-Bon Jovi

que me encanta el rock sea como sea y que se vayan a tomar x culo las canciones del verano q ni son musica ni son nada....

bueno, ultimamente he estado escuchando un grupo que me ha vacilado, Alter Bridge, no se en que categoria cae exactamente, por lo que yo escucho es algo de rock alternativo con influencias grunge y progresivas....si alguien lo ha escuchado que postee que tal le parece el grupo.

uhm... diría que todo el rock the "garage" es en realidad un "retro-rock". Aunque si es cierto eso de que hay muy pocas bandas que pueden ser denominadas "Rock" en si, como Velvet Revolver que es un "Old School" Hard Rock.

Grunge es una derivacion de Heavy Metal con New Wave. Alice In Chains es parte de la onda grunge de los 90's con grupos tales como Soundgarden, MotherLove Bone, Pearl Jam, Mudhoney. Nirvana, Blind Melon, etc.

Kraftwerk, cuando el rock se encuetra con la electronica.

Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Korn = Nu Metal. Metal no es Rock.

El Rock es un genero demasiado grande, tiene muchisimas ramas seria imposible hablar sobre todos los grupos en un mismo tema.

El Rock N Roll es una rama del Rock, artistas como Elvis, Chuck Berry, Stevie Wonder, Rolling Stones son muy importantes en la decada de los 70's. En los ochentas, cuando aparece MTV, se crean varias ramas, como el Glam, Punk, New Wave, Soft Rock. Personalmente, mi decada favorita es los 70's donde salen los mejores trabajos de mis grupos favoritos (Zeppelin, Beatles, The Who, Rush, Jethro Tull, ELP, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, etc). Los 80's se vieron muy golpeados por el Pop y por el dinero. Pero esto no dejo de que salieran nuevos grupos de rock muy buenos. Aunque los 90's me gustan mas.
