El reggaeton no tiene que ver mucho con la letra, sino más que todo con el ritmo. Y no compares la chicha con el reggaeton , ya que la chica solo se escuchaba acá, mientras que el reggaeton está por todo el mundo.

El reggaeton no sería nada sin la letra. Solo sería una mezcla de sonidos que no hubiera logrado lo que es ahora. Otra cosa es que el ritmo es ligeramente mejor, en términos estéticos, que las letras. Por cierto, no comparaba al reggaetón con la chicha como género musical en términos expansivos, sino como fenómeno social.

por el contrario, el reggaeton es 50/50 letra y dembow/melodia, muxas veces la letra no tiene muxo q ver, lo q mas le gusta a la gente es el sonido, el Dembow, por ejemplo muxa gente dice q el cd d los benjamins estuvo malo, lo q dijeron fue "excelente" dembow y melodias (produccion), pero poor lyrics, ni compararlo asi creo q esta bien, porke el reggaeton ya es un genero q se va a qedar ahi, mientras q hayan discotecas y todo eso, el reggaeton va a estar presente, yo he estado tambien metiendome en la creacion d dembows y melodias d reggaeton...

me gustaria q la gente q dice q el reggaeton no es musica, me enseñe q es musica d verdad, mucha gente dice "a mi no me gusta el reggaeton" "es musica para la 'chusma'" ... cuando ellos dicen q escuchan "musica" d verdad... muchas veces musica en ingles dond no entienden 1 palabra d cada diez q los cantantes cantan...

Para una gran mayoria de Jovenes que actualmente sus edades fluctuan entres los 21, 22 ,23 hasta los 30 ... El Reggaeton Se adueño de su adolescencia y su Juventud ... Esa edad en la cual tu solo te dedicas a estudiar y los fines de semana te pican los pies para ir a un Tono o Reunirte con tus amigos o por ahi a salir a Conocer chicas "Gilear" ... Esa Edad que ustedes actualmente la tienen, la teniamos nosotros "Los chibolos de aquel entonces" La diferencia radica en que ustedes actualmente ya encuentran un Genero Totalmente Expandido y Difundido que lo escuchan por todos lados .... Antes era otra Cosa .

Antes C a L e T a y todos esos chicos que en la actualidad son Jovenes ... Cuando Todo en La Radio era Techno, Cuando Todo en la Radio Era Trance.... Cuando en Ninguna Discoteca Daban Un Centavo Por este genero ... Cuando C a L e T a & Amigos llevaban sus Cassettes de Reggaeton a la Holyday, Uranio, Cerebro, Calle 8, Botes, Free, Hollywood y Con seguridad Todas las Discotecas y Mega Discotecas de Lima de ese Entonces .... Incluso cuando ... Esa Gente Antigua Llevo los mismo Cassettes a las Mismas Emisoras de Radio Juvenil En ese Entonces "Ok"que Recien salia , Studio 92, Hasta 11.60 y Te hacian Esperar horas y horas ... y tu Les Decias "Quiero Que Prueben estos Cassettes y Cd's Son de Un Genero Llamado Reggaeton y Se que si Lo escuchan Les va gustar y a la Gente se le va Pegar " NOOOOOOOOOOO !!! y te lo tiraban por la cara .... Pero asi A Pesar de Los Genero de Moda, A Pesar Que Nadie Se Atrevia a Escuchar Algo Nuevo ( Porque Si lo Hacia Estoy Seguro que Se unian al Grupo de Chibolos de Aquel entonces ) .... Simplemente No se Podia la Sociedad Estaba Muy Ocupada en Otras Cosas y se cerraban a los gustos de un chiquillo de tan solo 14 años .... Sin Embargo Nosotros Juntabamos Nuestros Chibilines para Comprar aquel Cassette Nuevo que Salia o aquellos Cd's que Recien Llegaban de La Isla .... Nos Ivamos a Aquel DJ muy conocido aca en S.J.M (DJ BetSam y Dj Elvis) que Tenian sus Amigos y Contactos alla En Puerto Rico Y le Enviaban Los Cassette'es Originales , Luego el Los Pirateba Pero en Fin el Sonido Estaba ahi y Por Ende el Party se Armaba ... No Nos Interesaba el Precio Lo unico que nos Interesaba era tener Todas absolutamente Todas Las Producciones .

Dios Santo !!!! Daddy Yankee !!! .... Michael & Manuel ..... Playero 40 .... Ruben Sam ...... Persigueme, Persigueme, Persigueme Sigueme Sigueme ..... Que Bien Suena Esto ... aki les dejo un review de alguien de otro foro, con el que concuerdo 85% que sabe mas que yo
esta en ingles:

01. Royal Rumble (Se Van) - The song is good, but a bit too long. The beat is great, although I like more deep bass in my life. In my opinion they should go for less verses for each rapper or less rappers in the song. Is not that they can't pull it off, is just that this many rappers and for all of them to sing good is a bit difficult. The Don Omar part is lame, the Daddy Yankee is just too long, and the Alexis pa-rt doesn’t even fit in this song (is not up to par with the rest). Arcangel can rhyme but his verse doesn’t sound as good as the ones he has in the Sangre Nueva SE intro or the Gangsta Zone remix. If you guys heard the song “Suelta” with Andy Boy, Cosculluela and Ñejo among others, that’s what a song like this should sound like. Overall is a 8.5, where "Sacala" is a 10.

02. Lento - RBD - Is just ok. I think Luny did them a favor, because they probably will gain exposure with the reggaeton crowd with this song(and reggaeton will gain exposure with the pop crowd). Good beat though, and I like first the part in the hook when the girl sings fast. Should've kept it like that the whole song... Overall an 7.5

03. Hello - Zion - I think Alocate should be at this spot, because is way better than this one. That being said Hello is not horrible, just not Zion's best. The hook is good (the Tu y Yo part) One of the best beats in the album. Overall an 8

04. Entrégate - Wisin y Yandel - It sounds good, but the same formula is getting played out, even if its not the same beat they always use. They need to get away from reggaeton for a while and sit down and think of some new songs. They are making money, but they are saturating the market with their songs and they don’t sound fresh enough anymore. Not their best stuff. 7.5

05. Beautiful - Don Omar - Not a bad song at all. Good hook, the beat is hard malianteo. I cringed a lil' bit with the first few rhymes Don had (he struggled rhyming with beautiful), but it got better later. Solid song. 8

06. Noche De Entierro (Nuestro Amor) - Very good song, with a great beat. Like Wisin says, this combination makes hits and money. The beat is great, as is always nice to see producers explore new rhythms. All the rappers are good in the song, although Daddy Yankee's part is a lil' long, and all the Cartel promotion and Big Boss talk is too much. Other than that, is a hit! Overall a 9, where Mayor Que Yo was a 10.

07. Mi Fanática - Arcángel & De La Ghetto - In my opinion the best song in the whole album. Very catchy and the beat is really good. Arcangel can sing and rhyme and De La Ghetto is not far behind. I would give it a 10, but imo a 10 is reserved for songs that are recognized as classics to me and to everybody else too, or that jump at you the first time you hear them (like Mayor Que Yo did in Mas Flow 2) So who knows in a couple of months....9.5

08. Esta Noche - Tito 'Bambino' - Another great, great beat, and this song sounds like it should be part of Top Of The Line, or I'm still getting accustomed to Tito flying solo and not doing that many romantic songs. Very good song. 8.5

09. La Ex - Alexis y Fido - It gets better after a couple of listens. The chorus gets in your head and doesnt let you go. The beat is weak (average-sounding) in my opinion. (and nothing agains Nales & A&A Los Presidents - I just looked right now to see who produced it and it just happened to be them) Not the average Alexis y Fido track, but gets the job done. Overall 8

10. De Ti Me Enamore - Baby Rasta - I think of all the big profile duos to break up, Baby Rasta and Gringo along with Zion & Lennox seemed the least likely to both do good on their own. Lennox is doing his thing so far as a producer and didn’t sound bad alone in Noriega's album; Gringo, I really don't know if he can do it by himself...I mean Baby Rasta carried him for 15 years doing Reggaeton together. So now Baby Rasta is doing his thing by himself and this song is part of that. I don't think the reggaeton-bachata beat is the best I've heard, even for this album (Plan B's beat is much better). But Baby Rasta's vocalization is still there. One of the nicest songs, and if it had a better beat would be even better. Overall 8.5

11. Slow Motion - Yo-Seph - Lets see, as a regular reggaeton song is decent. Considering he's a kid I think is pretty good. When Feloman debuted in DJ Eric 4 with 12 years, the song wasnt great but he is a kid, so it's special.....The same thing with Kid Melaza in The Noise 7 and Erick El Maliante in Tha Crew 2, they were kids and the songs weren't great, but they are kids so that's pretty kool. The beat by the Presidents is good too. Overall an 8

12. Alócate - Zion - I like this song a lot. Even though it's been out for some time, I think is a great song. It should be in the place of Hello in the album. The beat is pretty good (I disagree that it's the same beat from Wisin & Yandel's "Lento" in Pal' Mundo) and Zion sounds great, like the old days. Overall a 9

13. Tocarte - Plan B - The bachata-merengue beat works on this one, as opposed to the Baby Rasta song. The way Plan B sings matches the beat perfectly, and even though they are the same producers (Luny & Mr. G) they did a better job with the producing in that they didnt just keep the guitar playing the whole beat, but rather built the momentum and when it was time to let it drop, they did. Very nice arrangement. Overall a 9

14. Disimula'o - Magnate - Very good song. Tight beat and Magnate has good vocals here. One of the best songs in the album, period. Overall a 9

15. Acelera - Franco 'El Gorila' - Very average sounding beat at first; the second part of the beat sounds much better. Franco changes his style a lil' bit for this song, but when he does his thing is when he sings with his original style, and it doesn't sound bad there. The song goes up and down and the beat should have been better (harder maybe?) And the way they faded him out at the end of the song, it just sounds like they didn’t care too much (they got an RBD remix for God’s sake – is not because of lack of time). Overall a 7.5

16. Clack Clack - Angel Doze - Well, let's see how many more songs before we start listening to some recordings from jail. Not meant as a diss, but he must be recording like crazy before he goes to serve his term (5 years when he’s blowing up and at the genre's peak...ouch!) The song is pretty kool; whenever he sings fast it sounds great. He should stick more to a style and see it through as opposed to flip flop from style to style. Other than that, the beat is decent and he does his thing with it. Overall a 8.5

17. Piden Reggaeton - Khriz y Angel - Good song by Angel & Khriz, I like them because they complement each other well. The hook is one of the best in the album and the beat is not far behind. Overall a 9.0

18. Deja Quitarte La Ropa - Dálmata - Nice song for Dalmata on his own. The hook is nice, but he needs to work on his flow the rest of the song. He sounds like a New York reggaeton artist, no offense, but like something is missing there to grab me. His voice is low in this track too, like the beat drowns him. And he reminds me of BF Yaviah a lot on his second verse. Is not bad at all. Overall 8.

19. Contigo - Jean - Sounds like a spanish pop artist doing reggaeton. Like Luis Fonsi or something. Is not bad, but not my style. He sounds out of his element, and the reggaeton beat doesn't add anything to the song, even though is a great beat by Los Presidents. It might as well be a ballad. Overall 7.5

20. Tú Me Arrebatas - Ñejo - I Don't understand how you manage to have a supposed beef with a DJ, then have both the DJ(Nelson) and the rapper(Ñejo) from the song that you were supposedly dissed in(No Quiere Novio Remix) be featured as a producer and a rapper in your album, and then have the song OVERSHADOW your album. I'm looking forward to whatever album DJ Nelson is coming out with, because this, ladies and gentleman, is the best beat in the album. And Ñejo represents in every single song he's ever made, so is not surprising the lyrics are there. Is just funny that they stick this at the back of the album and is one of the best songs in there. Overall a 9.5, and refer to track 7 as to why is not a 10.

21. No Te Quiere - El Rookie - He needs to figure out what he wants to do with his flow/style. I mean, when he does the half-way jamaican thing he sounds kool, but he doesn't stick with it. The beat is decent, average sounding. Don't know what to think about this one, but the guy sounds like he got potential, similar to Kartier in a way....Overall an 8

22. Libertad - Luigi - It was ok. There is a reason is the last song in the album, but I think Luigi can do better than this. He sounds like he would fit nicely with a duo (like a Joan & Oneill type of duo..) Overall a 7.5

23. Lento (Remix) - RBD - Same as number 2. Overall a 7.5

So overall I give this album a 8.5. There is a lot of average songs in there, and it seems that the good ones are somewhere in the middle. So basically the best artists in the album didnt exactly represent in the front of the album (Don Omar, Wisin & Yandel, Hello of Zion) but it gets better as you get to the 2nd tier stars. The production is top notch, even if its not remarkable like Mas Flow 2. That has to do with the producing team not having more contributions from others like Nely and others like Noriega, and Luny & Tainy producing more than half the album.
Don't believe the hype is key here; next time I'd rather expect less and get more.
