Pros: Runs cooler at 65W TDP VS a Q9550 at 95W TDP. Good for cramped builds where space is limited such as a HTPC or a SFF type of PC where you can't really put giant HSF. This is great for energy conscious saving freaks. If you need to go green than this is the CPU for you.

Cons: Price Premium of $399.99, Not for overclockers

Other Thoughts: If you are looking to overclock this CPU don't bother. The Q9550S was made for the OEM market where space is limited and cramped which doesn't allow for giant HSF to be put into a system such as a mATX, HTPC, SFF type of PC. So when you need to run it as cool as possible this is the best choice for performance while still keeping the processor cool. If you are looking for an overclock you are better off buying a Q9650 or looking on fleabay for QX models for around $400.
