Justice League: The New Frontier basada en el aclamado comic.
TrailerJustice League: The New Frontier is a direct-to-DVD animated film adaptation of the popular DC Comics storyline by Darwyn Cooke. The film will be written by Justice League writer Stan Berkowitz, with Darwyn Cooke himself serving as story and visual consultant. Release Date: February 26, 2008
The New Frontier explores the origins of the Justice League. Set in the 1950s, the story bridges the gap between the Golden and Silver Ages of DC Comics. The film will focus heavily on two main stars, Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) and the Martian Manhunter. However, fanboys shouldn't worry because as the trailer shows, many DC characters will also make an appearance. Yay I can't wait too see Barry Allen as the Flash. It is reported that he will be one of the central characters as well.
The Justice League: The New Frontier DVD will have lots of goodies as bonus materials:
A Sneak Peak at Batman: Gotham Knight (YES!)
Audio Commentary I (featuring the talented filmmakers of New Frontier)
Audio Commentary II (feat. Comic Book Writer and Artist Darwyn Cooke)
The Legion of Doom: The Pathology of the Super Villain
Comic Book Commentary Homage to the New Frontier"
Justice League Unlimited Bonus Episodes (Holy Shee-it! Nice)
The Cast: Kyle MacLachlan(Superman), Jeremy Sisto(Batman), Lucy Lawless(Wonder Woman), Neil Patrick Harris(Barry Allen/Flash), David Boreanz(Hal Jordan/Green Lantern), Miguel Ferrer(Martian Manhunter)
leyendo civil war, gracias baal zak y luchen!

:)DC: The New Frontier is the name of an Eisner, Harvey, and Shuster Award-winning six-issue comic book limited series written and drawn by Darwyn Cooke and published by DC Comics in 2003 and 2004.
The series is a story that covers the gap between the Golden Age of comics and the Silver Age of comics, approximately 1945-1958. It opens up in 1945 with the final mission of the Losers, a DC comics World War II band of soldiers, as they search for Colonel Richard Flagg on a Pacific Island. Their story runs about 30 pages and is one of the longer stories in the book. From there we jump to the dissolution of the Justice Society of America, the disappearance of other Golden Age heroes, and then to the introduction of Hal Jordan, the man who would be Green Lantern, still a young lad in 1948.
This sets the focus for the book. It bridges the Golden Age and the Silver Age, as we watch many of the older heroes fade away--and a few like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman adapt--while a panoply of new stars appear on the stage. But, it also bridges the superhero stories of DC, at their height in the 1940s, then reemerging in the 1960s, with the non-super stories which were more common in the 1950s. Thus we start off with the Losers, but also meet Slam Bradley, the Challengers of the Unknown, the Blackhawks, and others before it's all over--all mixed with the superheroes more familiar to many of us.
The majority of the book is set in the years 1956-1958, the true emergence of the Silver Age. However, in sticking with this idea of mixing the real world and the superheroics, we also see for the first time, the superheroes of this era interacting with the real events of that time. Hal Jordan is piloting a plane in Korea, while Superman and Wonder Woman are fighting a secret Cold War. The extreme racism just before the Civil Rights movement plays a role before all is done, as does the Space Race. The combination of these real and heroic events, of these realistic and heroic protagonists, is all well done, and much of the beauty of this book. Against this background we touch upon many of the earliest Silver Age heroes, but the most important are Hal Jordan (Green Lantern), Barry West (The Flash), John Jones (The Martian Manhunter), and The Challengers of the Unknown.
Estaba leyendo Y, The last man y....
BKV - The Last Man Speaks
Brain K. Vaughan talks Ultimate X-Men, ending Y and the benefits of an ego.
by Hilary Goldstein
March 15, 2005 - Brian K. Vaughan is one of the hardest working men in comics. Currently writing four monthly books (Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, Ultimate X-Men and Runaways) along with graphic novels and one-shots, Vaughan is in high demand. Despite the opportunities to tackle most any book he chooses, BKV keeps it real. He's not interested in being the next Bendis or Byrne, he wants to remain focused on creating new characters and books and expanding the comic book universe.
We spoke at length with BKV about his current books, the future of Ultimate X-Men and the impact the ending to Y may have on readers.
IGN: How difficult is it to juggle so many books each month?
BKV: Well, it's difficult -- it's not like working in the coal mines. It's not a "hard" job. I'm at the point now where I don't remember what the hell my characters names are and stuff. I write one book a week and it gives me a month between issues to think about them. It's good, it keeps things fresh. I can go from writing a political thriller like Ex Machine to sort of a teen adventure book like Runaways, switch to post-apocalyptic Y: The Last Man, and then sort of mainstream superhero stuff with Ultimate X-Men. Then on weekends I have time to fill it in with random projects here and there. I've found a good pace for it -- the book a week -- and that seems to work out okay.

R.I.P Stan Lee
