Bueno es un copy and paste pero es muy interesante
Hmm, I once played at 1152xSomething. Then I moved to 1024X768. Then I tried 800x600. hmmm. Smaller IS better. I guarauntee it. I then was informed about "PowerStrip". Which will get you 100fps, a real 100 fps with vertical sync on. Shit son, My game improved by about 10% with 100fps. I can unload a USP faster than a chicken could. ... yeah. Some people think they are getting 100fps just because CS says they are. Think again. Windows 2000 doesn't allow more than 60fps at all. You have to over-ride it. Download the Prog at http://www.entechtaiwan.com/files/pstrip.exe , thank blur, he told me. After finding out I could hack, not only my game, but my hardware. I moved to 640x480. Then I used pstrip to overclock my refresh rate to 125mhz instead of just a plain 100mhz. RefreshRate, by the way, is your FPS. That's why I put mine to 125 instead of 100. Everyones computer will drop to half the FPS with certain battles or certain ends of a map. Going form 125 to 62.5 is better than 100 to 50fps. Thus being another reason why I dropped to 640x480 so my monitor could support that high of a Refreshrate. I "STRONGLY" recommend everybody in the whole freaking CS community to do this. Then you will no longer be limited to your hardware in FPS. Here's a test, if you pull down your console, and it kinda skips, or jumps or just isn't perfectly smooth. You're not getting a real 100fps with Vertical Sync "ON".
